The house is located in the Slovenian village of Bohinjska Bistrica in the
Bohinj valley on the edge of the Triglav National Park, a ski and holiday
destination jewel. It is 500 metres from the centre where you will find all
manner of amenities, including shops, post office, bank, medical centre,
dentist, bus
stop, railway station, bars, restaurants, police station and tourist
offices. the village is 6 km from bohinj lake, about 30km from lake Bled , and about 45km from the airport ( about 45 mins by car subject to conditions). The house is situated in a very quiet part of the village and is a traditional alpine style with a basement comprising a sauna, laundry, drying room, bath and shower room, seperate toilet, ski room
and freezer.

The ground floor is separated by a landing door and has 1 double bedroom,1
lounge double bed settee, seating for 6, lcd tv & dvd and a cosy open
fireplace.There is a live-in kitchen to seat 6/7 persons.The equipment
comprises of a cooker, fridge, oven, worktop with basin and drainer, ample
cupboard space. Fully equipped to cook for up to 10 people. There is a wash basin
in the bedroom and a separate bathroom with a shower/toilet and an adjacent
toilet. There is access to the basement from in the house.
The flooring is ceramic tiled and parquet flooring to lounge and bedroom.
There is cushion flooring in the kitchen. This area sleeps 4. The upper
floors comprise of a bathroom and toilet, one double bedroom, two
bedrooms fitted with double and one single each. Each bedroom has a wash
basin.
 
The top floor currently has a double bedroom and kitchen to cook for 10 and
a seated dining area facing Mt Triglav. The floor is tiled and and laminate
in the bedrooms and throughout the top floor. All the rear balconies face
the garden which is south facing and gets the sun all day until late
afternoon. The house has full central heating and individual radiator
thermostats. House shoes are recommended and there is a smoking ban inside
the property from 1st August 2007, when Slovenia came into line with most of
Europe (the house is also made of wood mainly). A car is recommended so
that you can explore the area and access all of the amenities and
activities. The house can be rented as described or as one unit for up to a
max. 14 persons . (Please note the upper floor bedroom will soon be
converted to a seating area using a bed settee and seats for 10 with tv &
dvd). Outside you will find front facing balconies directly towards the
mountains. There is a car port for 2 and 2 other car park spaces.There is a
grassed area to each side of the house and a large 800 sq. metre orchard
garden. At the rear of the house is a large patio area part of which is
covered and seats 8 with comfort. There are two BBQ's in the rear garden as
well as a grassed play area for children (swing and climbing frame to be
installed in spring 2008). The basement and garden areas are shared with
