CYCLING:
A sport enjoyed by many on the winding valley floor following highways and marked trails, to the more advanced mountain biking with a guide if required, on the more demanding trails. (10 routes)more information on the cycling trails

FISHING:
Fishing the Sava Bohinka from April to October for Brown Trout or the new season from December to mid February for Danubian Salmon .
Marble Trout grow to a good size and can be found in both the Savs Bohinka and Sava Soca.
Bohinj lake has an abundance of Brown and Rainbow Trout as well as grayling.
All fishing is by permit avaiable from both bohinj lake and Bohinsjka Bistrica tourist office.
There are varios areas of the river you can fish either on a bag or catch and return.
You are only allowed to use barbless hooks and no fishing from bridges.
Chest waders are best allowing you to fish from mid river using felt sole boots.
You are on the sunny side of the alps so expect very warm summer days and dry but cold winter days.
The flora and forna are stunning at any time of the year as the seasons change and are a very pleasent back drop to some of europes best fishing secrets.
The trout and grayling are very active in june due to high numbers of insects hatchiing.
Trying the new winter fishing is a must .
Our house is located at the heart of the action and close to the car train for a quick transfer to the soca valley for interesting fishing and a more scenery .

SWIMMING:
Lake and river swimming in the summer months and all year at the Aqua Park, or for a change, visit Lake Bled for a summer swim. Swimming baths are situated near to your accomodation.

WALKING:
To every level there are a huge variety of trails, which cover countryside, mountains, valleys, lakeside and pretty Alpine villages. These can be done throughout the seasons including snow shoe walks. (17 routes). Great Autumn walking routes are easily accessible from your winter holiday home here in Bohinj Valley, Slovenia.

CLIMBING AND MOUNTAINEERING:
Visit the Bohinj Mountaineering Centre for novice training or more advanced with mountain guides. The area has many peaks over 2000 metres in the National Park where Triglan rises to 2864m (200 are over 2000m and 25 are over 2500m). There is plenty to wet the appetite of any keen climber.

CANYON WALKING:
Start from Stara Fuzina, over the Devils Bridge and then follow the Canyon on good paths, taking in the sculptured masterpieces created by nature. Follow the trail to the 30m high waterfall at the foot of the Tosc Mountain.
